Basic Party Package (Standard)

The prices listed above are for one party character and will accommodate up to 15 children.

Additional princess, superhero or mascot party characters can be added at a discounted rate and can accommodate an additional 10 children.

At the owners discretion, Rent a Party Character will not offer discounts to business who require additional paperwork to qualify for their entertainment. If the Business has to use a credit card there will be a 3.5% credit card processing fee. Certain characters will not qualify for discounts such as the Star Wars characters Storm Trooper, and Darth Vader, because of the difficulty of the costume and the handling plus others that require additional time

If payment to the actors, either in cash or venmo, is not given to them in full , when the party is completed, then what is stated for the amount due, in the terms of the contract or party request form, will be charged with the cc on file. This disclaimer applies even if the amount that the actor quotes or picks up is different than the stated amount on the contract or party request form. Please review your total amount due with your booking agent.

If payment is not made by the end of the party a 20% service fee will be added.

If a credit card is declined a 20% service fee will be added to the total due.

Additional children over 25 will require a Helper (plain-clothed character assistant) — available at a rate of $40/hour — to accompany your superhero in order to accommodate the needs of additional children during activities. Party Host can provide their own helper but must notify the party planner.

Superhero Visit Package (Economy)

This package is not a fully-hosted party package and does not include the full agenda of the Standard party package by your performer. Thus, Superhero Visits do not have a performer/child ratio limit.

TRAVEL FEE –We have a complimentary radius of 20 miles from two ports. Add $.95 cents per mile outside of that complimentary radius. For Parties outside of that radius, we offer the Standard party package only. (1 hour)

If you book during rush hour 3pm-7pm, Monday through Friday the actor has the right to increase billiable miles charges because of the additional time it takes for travel.

OVERAGE TIME FEE – $155 will be charged for each additional 30 minutes per performer, If the party host chooses to extend the time from the purchased package.

Even though, we try hard and come prepared to do a really great party, some kids don’t like the costumes, and are scared of our characters. We still reserve the right to collect payment in full. We cannot be held responsible for the behavior or certain personalities, of children, who are scared and refuse to participate or interact with our characters.

If the actor is running late because of previous parties and poor time management of the party host, unforeseen traffic incidents beyond our control, or malfunction of costumes like seam tears, or zipper breaks, from previous parties, the actor will call and discuss with you their situation and give an estimate ETA. Please be respectful and kind. We aren’t always able to control everything and things do happen. We do our best!

The actors have the right to take a 10-15 minute bathroom break for each hour working and to drink Waterloo hydrate.

EarlyTermination of the Party—

Because of increasing agressive behavior from our party guest towards our Mascot Characters and Costumes at partiies and events, Rent A Party Character has created a behavior code that has to be inforced and agreed upon before we accept and confirm your party. This behavior code will insure and help with a safe inviorment for both the actors, their costumes, and the children, teens,and adults who are attending the party or event. Your help and understanding will be appreciated as we seek to provide and improve our services to you,

Our Actors are Not diciplinarians.

Actors are hired to entertain and play with your party guests. They have been trained to play with your kids safely and provide the best entertainment possible. However, we have seen children and teens who think it’s funny to abuse the costumes by pulling on the parts, punching the costume, ripping off ears, and noses, and expressing destructive behavior. The actors will ask nicely for the party guests to stop but if it continues, the actor will let the party host know. Party host should be observing and watching at all time for this kind of behavior. If the child persist, then we expect the party host to remove the child from activities moving forward until the child in under control or understands what they can and cannot do towards our characters.

The party host is responsible to stop aggressive behavior towards the actor

Punching, hitting, throwing balls, jumping on, kicking, knocking over, or disrespectful play towards the actor or costume is absolutely not tolerated. If the play turns hostal in any way with aggresive and disrespectiful abuse, we expect the party host to observe and stop the kids who are participating in this kind of behavior. The actor will also ask for help. The kids must know that it is unacceptable for them to show disrespect towards our characters and actors and could result in the actor stopping all further play or activities. .

Actors have the right to determine if the party is unsafe or abusive

If the actor determines that the environment is unsafe or abusive toward them or any other guest, and the host is not helping with children who continue to show aggressive behavior towards the actor and costumes, then actors have the right to leave the event. There will be no refund and the balance due is still expected with payment in full. All guest, including children, teens and adults are required to treat and respect the property of Rent A Party Character. Hosting parents are asked to help with, observe and assist with situations discribed above.

Compensation for any harm to the actor or costume

If any part of the costume is harmed as a result of aggressive behavior from any attending guest or the actor has been hurt or abused in anyway which results in further injuries, hospital bills, or loss of income, it becomes the responsibilty of the party host to compensate the actor or Rent A Party Character for damages. Our behavior code should assure our party hosts and families that this kind of incident will never escalate to compensation. Thank you for your help and understanding.
